I paint Byzantine Orthodox icons using gessoed birch panels, earth pigments, egg tempera, 24 carat gold leaf and linseed oils. The icon is built up by floating alternate washes and highlights on to the panel as it lies flat on the desk.

Take Longbrook St from city centre. Continue into Pennsylvania Rd, across lights at Union Rd. Continue uphill until road narrows and SLOW is written on the road. 107 is on the left. Park in lay-by below 107. Call 01392 252759 to check on parking in drive. “P” bus from High Street; alight at last stop in Rosebarn Ave. Turn left down Pennsylvania Rd, 107 is 150 metres on right.
