Once again, for three days in November, artists working and living in Exeter
open up their homes, studios and exhibiting spaces to showcase their work.
All sorts of art is represented this year including icons, photography and
printmaking, tapestry work, sculpture, mosaic and jewellery as well as a
variety of painting mediums.

Now in its sixth year, Exeter Open Studios celebrates the work of artists and community
art groups in the City. This year features a number of new group venues as well as
individual artists exhibiting for the first time, demonstrating the wealth of talent present in
Exeter. Also this year we have a number of workshops and demonstrations taking place.

The event is popular with visitors and is an opportunity to talk to a wide range of visual
artists. Feedback shows that our visitors enjoy talking to artists directly about their work
and artists benefit from communicating directly with people, an opportunity not often
possible in a gallery setting.

Exeter Open Studios is jointly funded by participating artists and Exeter City Council. It is managed and delivered by the artists themselves.
